By Car

Davis is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes northeast of the East Bay, and 20 minutes west of Sacramento on I-80. Exit I-80 at exit #71, follow Old Davis Road towards campus, past the Robert Mondavi Food & Wine Institute, to Vanderhoef Quad. The Conference Center is located on the northern side. Parking is available in the South Entry Parking Structure, Lot VP1 and Lot VP2. Parking costs $7 for the day.

By Rail

Amtrak has a frequent and comfortable service to Davis from the Bay Area (San Jose, Oakland, Berkeley, bus connection to San Francisco). The train station is conveniently located in downtown Davis. For more details, and to book tickets, please visit the Amtrak website.

Sacramento International Airport

The closest airport to UC Davis is the Sacramento International Airport (SMF). It is about 22 miles/34 km away from Davis. The Davis Airporter is a shuttle service that can take you to Davis for a flat rate. Yolobus offers direct bus service to Davis from the Sacramento International Airport. The #42B bus leaves the Sacramento Airport every hour at 20 minutes after the hour between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. and arrives at the Memorial Union on the UC Davis campus about 45 minutes later. No reservations are required. Although inexpensive, this bus will not deliver you to a specific address in Davis and may not have space for extra baggage. The UC Davis Unitrans bus service at the Memorial Union can then take you to your destination in Davis for a fee of $1.

San Francisco International Airport

The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is about 84 miles/135 km from Davis. The Davis Airporter offers a service to get you to Davis from SFO as well. A less expensive (but longer travel time) option for reaching Davis from SFO is to take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) directly from the airport train station that is located in the International Terminal (Level 3: Departure/Ticketing Level Near Boarding Area G) to the Richmond station. From Richmond you can then take one of Amtrak's daily Capital Commuter trains which run between San Francisco and Sacramento, including a stop in Davis.
