  • Add directory hades/codes to Matlab's search path. Always include this line before you
make any function calls from the PACE package.

For Windows users:

>>addpath('C:/hades/codes'); %assume you extracted the hades1.0.zip under C:/

For Unix or Linux users:

>>addpath('~/hades/codes'); %assume you extracted the hades1.0.bz2 at your
%home directory

The main program for hazard and density smoothing is hades.m under hades/codes/.

To learn how to use this function, use

>> help hades <return> %view function descriptions for hades.m

An example file, example_hades.m, which provides simulated data for using hades.m can be found at examples/ directory.

To run this example, run Matlab under examples/ directory, and type

>> example_hades <return>
