Announcements:
I.
Midterm I, in class on Monday, October 26, will be based on
HW #1-3 and on the supporting textbook material. Students should bring a
calculator and up to two letter-size, double-sided sheets of notes.
II.
Midterm II covers Chapters 4 through 8, with emphasis on
using the matrix approach in Chapter 5 for finding LSE's and associated
confidence sets or tests. Students may bring two sheets of notes, with anything they
wish written on these, and a calculator.
III.
