Francisco Samaniego elected AAAS Fellow
We are pleased to announce that our colleague, Distinguished Professor Emeritus Francisco Samaniego has been elected as a 2016 Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
The AAAS is an international non-profit organization formed in 1848, whose mission seeks to "advance science, engineering, and innovation throughout the world for the benefit of all people."
In October 2016, the AAAS Council elected 391 members as Fellows of the association, in recognition of their contributions to innovation, education, and scientific leadership. The tradition of electing AAAS Fellows began in 1874 to recognize members for their scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications.
